SCRIPTING LEGAL SUCCESS

About David Oland

Upon being called to the bar in British Columbia in 2006, David moved quickly into legal practice in Vancouver’s vibrant motion picture industry. David’s primary focus is on entertainment and media law, including film and television development, financing, production and distribution. David advises independent producers, production companies, mini-major and major studios dealing with intellectual property issues, corporate and commercial structures, contracts, production financing, residuals and specialized advice on Canadian labour based tax incentives.

David has provided production legal services on projects for every major studio and television network and his focus on the full spectrum of film and television production means he understands the unique challenges that filmmakers, producers, and studios face.

Outside of the legal practice David enjoys time with family (including his beloved dogs), skiing, fishing, tennis, and exploring the wilderness in the Pacific Northwest.
